Responsibilities
- Develop, communicate, enforce, and monitor effective service department processes to ensure both internal and external customer satisfaction.
- Create annual departmental goals and budgets aligned with the organization's financial and operational objectives.
- Execute and monitor a marketing plan to achieve departmental goals.
- Manage service warranty and product improvement program claims to maximize credit retrieval.
- Open work orders, schedule, and assign tasks to employees based on their skills and knowledge.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of work orders before customer billing.
- Maintain all department tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working order.
- Manage recruitment, staffing, and development activities for the service department.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and high levels of character, honesty, and integrity in all business affairs.
Qualifications
- 3 years of management experience in heavy equipment or related industry.
- Educational background: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred.
- Hands-on technical experience with heavy equipment, including diagnostics and repairs.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills, with proven ability to manage and inspire a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer applications; technical proficiency in diagnostic software is preferred.
- A valid driver’s license, with CDL and a good driving record considered an asset.
Shift Schedule
- Type of employment (full-time, part-time, etc.)
- Expected hours 40-45
- Monday - Friday: 7:30-5:30, Saturday as needed
- Overtime as needed
